How do i reboot my VPS?

You can reboot your VPS in a few ways depending on the operating system you have.

If your VPS is a linux VPS you can either

  1. Log in to VPS Control Panel and navigate to the power section, press the Reboot Button to reboot your vps.
  2. Log in to SSH and issue the reboot command

 

If your VPS is a Windows XP VPS then you can reboot it using one of the following options :-

  1. Log in to VPS Control Panel and navigate to the power section, press the Reboot Button to reboot your vps.
  2. From within your windows vps, move your mouse pointer to the start menu then select Run and type shutdown -r -f
  3. Log into your Windows VPS using a VNC client, once you are logged in goto the Start Menu and Select "Turn Off Computer", A box will then pop up giving you the choice to restart, select restart and your VPS will reboot.

 

If you are using Windows 2003 (Virtuozzo) then you can restart your VPS from the Virtuozzo control panel itself :-

  1. Log into Virtuozzo and then select Start/Stop VPS > Restart VPS
  2. From the command line within Windows you can Type  Shutdown /r
